Roger Vivier quality shoes
Roger Vivier is, without a doubt, well known for his extravagant and highly decorated shoes. His creations have often been described as the “Fabergé of footwear”. The designer has had a profound effect on the design and development of shoes and boots throughout the 20th century. After reviving and developing the idea of the “Stilleto” to create the first official shoe of that model in 1954, Vivier changed the era of high heels forever. The fashion firm now has several iconic models such as the “Pilgrim” and “Rose n ‘Roll” heels, with the firm’s iconic silver buckle. The designer was also one of the first to create the above-knee boots during the 1960s, a thigh-high evening design in a black stretch knit. Despite his avant-garde style, the designer was responsible for designing the shoes for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, enhancing the brand’s ability to attract a wide audience. The firm has evolved and now produces not only shoes, but also a selection of chic handbags, sunglasses, luxury leather goods and jewelry.
